If your data and system are properly backed up on a reasonable schedule, none of those things will do you much harm. This can, depending upon the speed of your machine, take a bit of time. All risks greater than zero are not the same. Upon first run, the Wine configuration for /.wine will be updated. Who also advises everyone to delete Mono because of the same potential risk, when obviously the development team as a whole doesn't agree.
